Camtree is a global platform for close-to-practice research in education. Its mission is to promote, support and publish research by educators, improve teaching, and lead to better outcomes for learners worldwide. Camtree is the world’s first platform that helps teachers and educational leaders both to improve learning and share their knowledge. It is home to the Camtree Digital Library: an open-access, AI-enhanced digital library exclusively for teacher research.

Camtree is a centre at Hughes Hall, University of Cambridge.  The Camtree team of experienced educators and researchers supports educators to research their practice and publish their findings. Camtree works in partnership with educational providers who share its values, and have a commitment to improving teaching and learning, and to sharing close-to-practice research.

Camtree supports educators to carry out and publish research

Camtree supports educators to plan, carry out and report on the close-to-practice research they carry out in their own settings.  We provide general guidance as well as specific advice on Research Lesson Study and how to promote and explore educational dialogue. Teachers' research reports are peer-reviewed before publication in the Camtree Digital Library - free of charge to individual educators.

Camtree offers custom hosting for new and existing collections of teacher research. We have worked with a range of partner organisations to design online collections, and to repurpose and reformat existing content to improve searchability, reach and impact - in line with 'open knowledge' principles, and using the latest AI technologies
